Leah Green, b.a., certified Riding master, certified riding instructor, certified equine sports massage therapist
|
Leah Green is an equine
professional proficient in the art
of Dressage, hunter/jumper, and
cross country riding.
Leah has been riding since the
age of 3, when she was
photo-featured in the book,
"Guide for the Parents of
Horse-Crazy Kids."
As a child, she took lessons in
Southern California at Griffith
Park, as well as the world famous
Foxfield Riding Academy in
Westlake Village (a renowned
riding facility known for riders
jumping 7 horses abreast
without saddles or bridles!).
There, she also showed
successfully (and won most
classes!).
Leah then groomed for
Stephanie Abronson, owner of
Pony Cross Farm (a Welsh Pony
breeding farm) where she
participated in Parades, Drill
Team, charity projects,
Combined Driving Events, and
Pony Club.
Leah's love for horses led her to
attend Mereidth Manor
International Equestrian Centre
when she was ready for higher
education. She gained all of her
equine training certifications at
the program in West Virginia,
which was equivalent in credit
hours to a Bachelor's Degree.
After receiving her diplomas, she
instructed at the Los Angeles
Equestrian Center Riding School,
located at the Los Angeles
Equestrian Center (home of
Richard Spooner and many
other less well known Grand Prix
competitiors). She then moved
up in the equestrian world to
open Foxtail Farm in Portland,
Oregon, as the owner and
trainer of the business, in 2004.
She operated the successful
Hunter/Jumper and Dressage
barn while finishing her
additional B.A. at Marylhurst
University.
Leah relocated to Las Vegas in
July 2008 to be with her family,
and is now proud to present
Foxtail Farm 2009! When not at
the stables, she is busy authoring
her new book, "How to Train a
Nervous (abused, or untrained)
Horse: the Comprehensive
Guide" and creating illustrations
to match.
Leah's combined professional
instruction in Horsemanship
spans over 26 years. She has an
excellent show record (never
coming home without any blues
(1st place ribbons!)). She excels
at bringing the best out of horse
and rider, for pleasure or
competition. She loves helping
others to learn about how to
care for and how to ride horses;
it shows with her dedication to
providing the best instruction
available, including making
pamphlets, "homework" and any
other learning material available
for her clients.
Leah has training and lesson
programs for all levels and all
ages of riders. Please email if you
have any questions. We look
forward to helping you learn!
